This 60-minute session is a nice introduction to horseback riding with no strings attached. If you are unsure whether your child would be interested in horseback riding, or if they’ve never ridden a horse or pony before, we recommend starting with this. 1x Rides include grooming, tack up, 20-30 minutes of riding, untacking, and giving the horse or pony some hay.
This one-hour group session (up to 8 children) is a great introduction to riding and horsemanship for young children. Children take turns riding our two ponies and visiting our other stations, which include: creative play with playdough, chalk, coloring, and games. We also sing songs and read a story as a group.
This one-day camp includes learning about horsemanship and riding in a group setting with a focus on respect, responsibility, and kindness towards others. Under the guidance of our qualified staff, children spend the day immersed in barn life from 9 am – 1 pm, learning hands-on skills such as grooming, feeding, groundwork, and weekly surprise events.
This two-hour event consists of two halves. The first hour is allocated to the barn and riding. A group riding session and an educational, fun learning activity complete the barn experience. The second hour is the family’s half, where they may use our picnic area and grill for lunch, cake, presents, and any additional games. We offer refrigeration for any food or beverage you bring.
This one-hour group learning session, where Scout troops can learn about horses and earn badges. Each session is curated to meet the needs of the badge. Additionally, Eagle Scouts are invited to complete their Eagle Scout projects at the ranch.
As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, we are reliant on volunteers to help manage the ranch. We have opportunities for everyone to strengthen their horsemanship skills and increase their barn knowledge.
For children 5-10 years old, we host Junior Volunteer Days monthly, where children can expand their horsemanship skills and knowledge of the barn for 2-3 hours. Individuals 10 years or older may volunteer outside of Junior Volunteer Days and are given more independence. Parents are always welcome to volunteer with their children.
Everyone is given the opportunity to accrue their required volunteer hours for school or court-ordered community service.
Many local groups have enjoyed a volunteer day as a team-building event. This includes: small businesses, churches, schools, and large corporations. Rosie's Ranch designs projects based on the group, and other times, they assist with daily barn tasks.
Whether you are able to help with your time, talent, or treasure, we'd love to hear from you!
